HSBC, Taiwan

HSBC (Taiwan) rewarded their 137 top sales achievers with a six-day incentive trip to Gold Coast in March. The group was comprised of top salespersons from different HSBC branches throughout Taiwan.

Company: HSBC (Taiwan)
Event: Sales Achievers Incentive
Delegates: 137
Duration: Two weeks

The incentive rewarded staff for achieving superior sales over 12 months. Guests, their spouses and children came from around the Asia Pacific region for two weeks of awesome themed entertainment and treats ranging from whale watching to wine tasting.

The delegates were mainly from 25 to 35 years of age, and were adventurous and full of energy. They visited the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, tried sand tobogganing and snorkeling, and sampled wine at the Sirromet Winery. Different tours were also arranged to meet their needs, such as the Nature & Wildlife tour, the Surf & Turf tour, and the Thrill & Excitement tour.

According to a TTG Mice report, HSBC (Taiwan) Sales Reward and Recognition Manager, Personal Financial Services, Ms Jenny Yang, said the company spent 2-3 times more than the normal package tour because their incentive trip should be a once in a lifetime, memorable experience that cannot be easily bought off the travel agent shelf. She also said they do a survey after every trip each year, where staff choose their top three Asia-Pacific destinations, based on weather, distance, time difference, accommodation, budget and special activities available.

She said that HSBC takes staff incentive trips very seriously; destinations are researched and visited once the decision is made to ensure they meet HSBC’s requirements. This time they chose Australia and are happy that the participants enjoyed the trip. Ms Jenny Yang said, “Having such a great time in Australia, many participants have already started to plan how to win their next incentive trip back to Australia, that’s why I think we will probably come back again after 1 or 2 years.” Power Networking Monthly reports.
