Dreamtime 2009 is Tourism Australia’s premier event for promoting Australia’s incentive experiences to the international market.

Taking the theme, The story of Australian incentives, Dreamtime 2009 was held from 12 – 16 October 2009 and supported by exclusive airline partner Qantas and Business Events Sydney.

Over 75 qualified international buyers from 15 of Australia’s key markets in North and South Asia, Japan, New Zealand, Europe, the UK and the US participated in the revitalised Dreamtime 2009 program, experiencing the best of Australia’s new incentive product.

Host city Sydney provided international buyers and Australian sellers with a practical business forum that saw over 2,500 appointments between buyers and sellers take place over two days.

The Dreamtime Leaders’ Forum proved to be a standout within the program, providing a thought leadership event for the industry that was topical and relevant in today’s business events climate.

"The event provided an ideal and timely platform for Australian sellers to discuss specific business opportunities wtih the hosted buyer," said Joyce DiMascio, Head of Business Events Australia at Tourism Australia.

"The initial feedback fom the Australian sellers was that significant business leads were discussed during the event."
