Hints & Tips
So, it is getting close to your big presentation.
Fear not. Here are some ways to make your pitch a winner.
1. Stir up some doubt
No matter what you're researching, your boss always has something already in mind - a pet destination, somewhere you go every year.
Find out what it is. Then, as you walk past your boss in the corridor, casually mention that destination's long history of earthquakes.
It works every time.
2. Start a petition
Everyone likes a happy workforce, and the right business incentive certainly makes for happy employees.
So, before your presentation, start a petition for a business event in Australia. Remind everyone that it's all expenses paid - including the alcohol.
The worst thing that could happen? Your boss might fire you for going behind his or her back. But hey, you could get a free trip to Australia, so it's all worthwhile.
3. Shine the shoes
If you are dealing with a decision maker of the old school, then looking scruffy during a pitch is a big no-no. Shine your shoes. Then shine them again.
