West Coast Wilderness
After arrival in Launceston, travel to Cradle Mountain Chateau, via the delightful rural town of Deloraine, home of Australia’s biggest working craft fair in the foothills of the Great Western Tiers mountain range. In your free time this afternoon, take the Enchanted Forest Walk, or relax at the Calm Day Spa. Enjoy a roaming cocktail function that evening in the Wilderness Gallery, moving from room to room as a new sample of produce awaits around each corner.
Day 2: Join one of Tasmania's greatest walks around Dove Lake, enhanced by a guide as you follow the shoreline of Dove Lake and pass through ever-changing terrain, including ancient rainforest of the majestic Ballroom Forest. Dine that evening at Cradle Mountain Lodge with wine and cheese tasting followed by dinner at the Highland Restaurant.
Day 3: Transfer to the village of Strahan to head off on one of the most scenic and sought after Tasmania cruises, on the majestic Gordon River. See Hells Gates and salmon farms, take a guided Sarah Island stop-over and enjoy a full buffet lunch. After a short stop in Zeehan on the return to Cradle Mountain, dinner is held at the Grey Gum restaurant
Day 4: Return to Launceston with a short stop at Sheffield, a beautiful town now famous for its extensive display of murals.
