Artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light is a dazzling display of 50,000 globes in the desert surrounding Uluru. Ride a camel to the viewing platform, where you can enjoy sparkling wine and canapés as the sun sets behind Uluru, then take a seat for the Sounds of Silence dinner. Over a ‘bush tucker’ buffet, you’ll be entertained by a didgeridoo performance and hear the resident star tracker decode the constellations of the night sky. Field of Light will continue to run until the end of March 2018, and the Sounds of Silence dinner can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Sporting fans descend on Melbourne each January for the Australian Open, the first tennis Grand Slam of the year. Take your team on a guided tour of Rod Laver Arena and the players’ changing rooms, before taking a seat in one of the branded Superboxes. Overlooking Rod Laver Arena, these coveted boxes can seat between 12 and 18 guests. All eyes will be on Queensland in April 2018 when the Gold Coast plays host to the XXI Commonwealth Games. The 11-day event will welcome 6,600 athletes from 70 nations and territories, competing in 18 sports.
