Yallamundi Rooms - Sydney Opera House, Sydney
Yallamundi means “storyteller” in the language of the local Gadigal indigenous people. The name of the rooms honours the long history of gathering and storytelling on the site of the Sydney Opera House, Bennelong Point.
Space: The new crescent shaped event space features concrete walls, white birch moulded timber panels and pink granite terrazzo floor. An outside uncovered terrace area is included in the venue hire.
Capacity: Up to 180 people seated or 400 for cocktail functions.
Good to know: Floor-to-ceiling windows offer unrivalled views of Sydney Harbour and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
City Winery, Brisbane
Located in a converted warehouse City Winery Brisbane is a real working micro-winery that uses grapes from across Australia. The venue has a wine bar, cellar door, restaurant and private dining space.
Space: Three on offer. The Winery features more than 100 oak wine barrels, high ceilings, concrete floors and a white tiled bar. The private dining space showcases a timber table made from recycled wood. The restaurant offers timber and leather accents and artwork by a local artist who also designs all the wine labels for City Winery.
Capacity: The Winery can accommodate 80 people seated or 150 for cocktail functions; the private dining space has a capacity of 20 people seated; and the restaurant can accommodate 80 people seated. You can hire the venue exclusively for up to 180 people seated or 250 for a cocktail function.
Good to know: Incorporate one of the many experiences on offer at the winery into your event, including a wine blending workshop.
The Tropic, Burleigh Pavilion, Gold Coast, QLD
Burleigh Pavilion, Gold Coast
Offering unrivalled views of one of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful beaches, Burleigh Pavilion offers two event spaces, The Tropic restaurant, and the more casual Burleigh Pavilion.
Space: Both spaces offer private balconies to take in the view of the beach, with The Tropic offering a traditional restaurant setting. Burleigh Pavilion is a more relaxed ambience, with timber benches, high tables and stools.
Capacity: The Tropic can host 200 people seated and 250 for a cocktail function, while Burleigh Pavilion can accommodate 210 seated and 470 for cocktail functions. The whole venue is available for exclusive hire for up to 500 people seated and 900 for cocktail functions.
Good to know: Nearby is the Burleigh Brewing Company, where groups of up to 50 people can take part in a behind the scenes tour.
Butler Lane, Melbourne
Located in Richmond, 10 minutes from Melbourne city, Butler Lane is an industrial warehouse that opens out onto a private courtyard.
Space: The venue has an open plan interior which features floor to ceiling windows, a high ceiling, exposed black beams and polished concrete floors. The courtyard features a living green wall, providing a natural accent.
Capacity: Butler Lane can accommodate up to 180 people seated or 300 for cocktail functions.
Good to know: Venue hire includes inhouse audio visual and a dedicated planner for your event.
