Business Events Visitor Arrival Research to Expand
Additional questions will appear on the International Visitor Survey (IVS) and the National Visitor Survey (NVS) in 2008 about Business Events.
Business Event visitors will be defined as anyone who attended or accompanied someone who attended a Convention/Conference/Seminar, a Trade Fair (not open to general public) or an Exhibition (open to the general public) while on their trip.
Specific Business Event related questions include:
If they would have come to Australia at this time if not for these business events
For Convention / Conference/Seminar, Trade Fair and Exhibition:
How many days they attended the event,
How many days they spent on a related activity such as a tour, field trip, course or study tour (which may or may not be directly related to the same subject or topic as the event)
Where the event was held in Australia
What type of venue it was held in
Who hosted or organised the event
What items were directly associated with or a part of the Business Events registrations fees
For a Conference / Convention or Seminar, respondents will be asked how many people were estimated to have attended
Whether the trip was a reward provided by their employer for a high level of performance or sales or a job related bonus.
