Canberra Convention Bureau Staffer wins AACB’s 2008 Staff Scholarship
Ms Leslie Francis, Business Development Manager at the Canberra Convention Bureau was awarded the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux (AACB) 2008 Annual Scholarship at a gala dinner held last week in Sydney. The scholarship, now in its 13th year, is jointly sponsored by Business Events Australia, Qantas and AACB Inc.
Leslie competed with 8 excellent submissions from finalists from around the country to be selected as the award recipient. The award was judged against criteria including; the merits of the project, the flow on benefits across more than one Bureau in Australia, and an interview process with the applicant.
