Adelaide's climate is often described as Mediterranean - mild winters and warm to hot summers. The warmest months are December, January and February. Spring and autumn bring pleasant, mild days and nights to enjoy. The average maximum summer temperature is 28 degrees Celsius, while in winter it drops to about 15 degrees Celsius. Summer temperatures in the outback regularly reach 40 degrees Celsius.
