Boasting a five-day, action-packed incentive program, the Amway Malaysia Leadership Seminar brought over 750 top sellers to Sydney in December 2012 for an unforgettable experience.

A global leader in direct selling, with over three million independent business owners (IBOs) in more than 80 countries, Amway rewarded its high-performing Malaysian IBOs with a variety of bespoke group activities on offer in and around the iconic city of Sydney.

Amway's itinerary included a sailing regatta on Sydney Harbour; horse riding, quad biking and kayaking in the beautiful Glenworth Valley; a scavenger hunt adventure around the picturesque Royal Botanical Gardens; and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to climb the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge with BridgeClimb Sydney.

Guiding approximately 700 of Amway's guests to the peak of the icon 134 metres above sea level, BridgeClimb gave Malaysian IBOs a panoramic view of Sydney's glittering harbour, stunning city landscape and leafy green suburbs.

"I loved making the journey all the way to the top [of Sydney Harbour Bridge] and our climb leader was simply excellent!" said See Sian Loong, Amway Malaysia.

Invigorated by fresh air and excitement, Amway's top sellers were encouraged to dance and sing their way to the bridge's summit by BridgeClimb Leaders - tour guides who told tales of Australia's history and offered stories and secrets of the 80-year-old bridge.

"Overall the climbing experience was just fantastic and unforgettable, especially when we danced on the bridge and celebrated my 30th birthday at the top," said Brandon Chai, Amway Malaysia.

Demonstrating Sydney's ability to cater for large groups, Amway Malaysia's event program saw top sellers experience BridgeClimb and a Sydney Sailing regatta in just one day.

"We wanted to give our participants an extraordinary experience and decided on the BridgeClimb and the sailing regatta to be carried out on the same day," said Mohd Isa Ibrahim, Head of Sales, Amway Malaysia. "The organisers were very professional and knowledgeable, working together to ensure this feat was successfully pulled off. We have since been told that this is the largest single group that has climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge in a single day." Business Events Sydney - the body responsible for promoting Sydney as a business events and conference destination - worked closely with Amway Malaysia and leading inbound tour operator, Australian Tours Management to bring the leadership seminar to the city.

Sydney won the bid to host the seminar thanks to its state-of-the-art conference facilities, abundance of incentive activities, 'can do' attitude and ability to tailor itineraries to meet the specific needs of the Amway Malaysia delegation.
