76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC)
Australia provided a global platform for the future of the space industry at the 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC).
Spanning five days the event brought together 7,600 delegates from 99 countries, injecting an estimated A$47 million into the local visitor economy.
The success of IAC 2025 was underpinned by a unified "Team Australia" approach. Supported by Tourism Australia’s Business Events Bid Fund Program, the event was a seamless collaboration between Business Events Sydney (BESydney), the Australian Space Agency, Investment NSW, and the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA).
This partnership demonstrated Australia’s capability to align government, industry, and academia, providing event organizers with a connected ecosystem that can create lasting economic and social impact.
"Hosting the Congress in Sydney allowed us to showcase not only the nation’s growing space capability but also our collaborative spirit."
