Sunshine Coast Program Pitch
The ‘Sunny Coast’ has a vibe all of its own. With hundreds of kilometres of waterfront that offers beach and river activities, luxury accommodation moments from golden sand beaches, dining options focussed on sustainability and seafood and a wealth of outdoor experiences to take advantage of the average 300 days of sunshine per year, it’s a destination that packs a punch and delivers truly relaxed sophistication.
Day 1: Noosa Beach and River
Create your own exclusive surf village under a giant tipi with Beyond Experiences on Noosa Main Beach. The tipi will be your hub for a full day including surfing lessons, stand-up paddle boarding and Noosa River jet boating for 30 to 120 guests. You’ll also enjoy chillout zones, yoga classes, massage stations, cocktail demonstrations and a customised food and beverage menu.
Then it’s time to discover the local produce, which includes Morton Bay bugs (flat tail lobster), Mooloolaba king prawns, spanner crabs and local beef. Team that with a riverfront dining hub that offers direct access from its own private jetty and you’ve got a true Noosa experience. Noosa Boathouse has three waterfront event spaces, offering flexibility to cater for 20 to 350 guests.
Head back to Hastings Street in Noosa to enjoy an evening stroll on the beach and accommodation at the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort.
Day 2: Noosa and Hinterland
After a morning swim and breakfast, take a scenic drive to the hinterland to experience the beautiful Spicers Tamarind Retreat at Maleny. The luxury lodge includes a multi-award-winning restaurant, The Tamarind, and also offers tailored cooking classes in their purpose-built cooking school. Prepare 3–4 courses as a group and then add drinks on consumption to create a bespoke lunch option for up to 12 guests.
Stay on after lunch to enjoy an afternoon of spa treatments at the onsite Spa Anise or head out to discover one of the championship golf courses in the region. Beyond Experiences can arrange pro golf lessons at one of three leading Sunshine Coast courses: Pelican Waters Golf Club, Noosa Springs or Twin Waters.
Day 3: K'gari
The world’s largest sand island is just a short flight from Hervey Bay, north of the Sunshine Coast. Spend today exploring World Heritage listed K'gari (formerly Fraser Island), arriving by private plane and landing right on the beach. From here rangers will greet you in four-wheel drive vehicles and guide you to exclusive parts of the island only accessible by them. When it’s time for lunch, an al fresco dining room on the turquoise shores of Lake McKenzie awaits, with a menu including locally caught barramundi.
Finish your time in Noosa at one of Hasting Street's most celebrated restaurants. The Noosa Beach House is situated within the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort and can be hired exclusively for 50 seated guests or 180 for cocktails. With a reputation for only the finest and freshest local seafood, make sure you secure the seasonal favourites including mud crab and the huge local prawns.
