Did you know?
Hidden up an oak staircase at Sean’s Kitchen (Eos by Skycity’s onsite restaurant) is the private dining space, The Attic. A low, black vaulted roof hugs the wine vaults making for a sleek dining experience for 40 guests seated or 65 standing.
Stay in one of Adelaide’s newest hotels
Adelaide’s city centre recently welcomed numerous upscale hotels, one of which is the Oval Hotel. Located in the Adelaide Oval, the boutique hotel places guests within minutes of the city centre. Oval Hotel features 138 contemporary rooms, four dining options and access to the signature experiences of the Adelaide Oval.
The 329-room Crowne Plaza Adelaide is centrally located and within minutes of the Adelaide Convention Centre. The hotel features Adelaide’s highest restaurant, Koomo, which features views of the city and the Adelaide Hills and is available for exclusive hire for groups of up to 156 guests.
The 145 room Hotel Indigo is a boutique hotel that pays homage to Adelaide’s cultural scene. The clever design celebrates the colours and milestones of its locale; copper fixtures are a nod to South Australia’s copper mining heritage, exclusive Adelaide Festival-inspired poster art adorns the corridors and rooms, and striking brick archways mimic those of the Adelaide Central Markets, which is just a short stroll from the hotel.
Eos by SkyCity is a brand new upscale hotel on the banks of Adelaide’s Torrens River and is part of the A$330 million redevelopment of Adelaide’s casino, SkyCity Adelaide. The hotel has 120 premier rooms, nine dining options and casino access.
Luxury in Adelaide’s award winning wine region
Nestled in the Adelaide Hills wine region, just 15 minutes from the city centre and at the gateway to the Barossa Valley, Eden Valley and McLaren Vale, you will find the Mount Lofty Estate, home to the historic and boutique hotel, Mount Lofty House. The hotel offers 33 spacious rooms overlooking the verdant Piccadilly Valley and the 30-acre (12-hectare) estate complete with manicured gardens and two vineyards. Also, on the estate is the luxurious Sequoia Lodge with 14 contemporary luxurious suites. Both can be booked exclusively and share the property’s facilities.
Alternatively, groups can stay at The Louise, a luxury lodge located in the Barossa Valley. The Louise offers 15 suites surrounded by grapevines and can be exclusively booked for groups. The property has two restaurants on-site — the award-winning Appellation restaurant where South Australia’s quality produce is given the fine dining treatment and the accompanying wine list has more than 400 bottles to choose from, while the Three75 bar + kitchen serves up casual, comforting fare. Incorporate wine and food into your program with a range of experiences on offer including private vineyard tours and breakfast with the kangaroos.
