Perched on Crown Tower’s Melbourne’s third floor you will find Crown Aviary, a large rooftop space that can accommodate up to 550 guests for a cocktail function.
Host your event at Australia’s largest art gallery or a sporting landmark
For an event space that is uniquely Melbourne, host a gala event in the city’s premier art gallery, the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). The NGV is the oldest and most visited gallery in Australia, spanning across two buildings in the heart of Melbourne’s city centre. The NGV features three event spaces - the Great Hall catering up to 600 guests seated or 1,100 for a cocktail function; the Garden Restaurant catering 160 seated guests or up to 180 guests for a cocktail function; and the Clemenger Auditorium with fixed seating for 250 guests.
The city is home to a range of sporting venues that can be used as event spaces, including the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). As Australia's largest sporting stadium, the MCG offers over 15 separate venue spaces to suit any occasion. The MCG caters for 550 people seated or up to 1,200 for a cocktail function.
At the heart of Melbourne’s city centre is the popular Crown Conference Centre, a purpose built hotel conference facility catering for large residential conferences and meetings. The centre offers two main plenary rooms, 16 breakout rooms, a dedicated exhibition space and four cafes, which capacity for groups ranging from 10 to 750 guests.
Groups can also experience the city by water with Melbourne River Cruises, offering a choice of six fully enclosed vessels to host your business event along the Yarra River. Each vessel features a viewing deck, large windows and an outside deck area with heating in the colder months. The vessels can cater for groups of 25 to 180 and can be completely customised.

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre has direct access to the five-star Pan Pacific Melbourne and Novotel Melbourne South Wharf via private internal walkways, allowing for a seamless event experience for groups.
The largest of its kind
Further enhancing Melbourne’s first-class business events capabilities, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is the largest convention and exhibition space in Australia. Located only 20 minutes from Melbourne Airport, MCEC is in a prime waterfront location along the banks of the Yarra River.
Spanning more than 70,000 square metres (753,473 square feet), the centre features flexible meeting, banquet and pillar-less exhibition spaces. The centre can cater to conferences big and small, catering for up to 5,500 people.
