Host your event at Australia’s largest art gallery or a sporting landmark
For an event space that is uniquely Melbourne, host a gala event in the city’s premier art gallery, the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). The NGV is the oldest and most visited gallery in Australia, spanning across two buildings in the heart of Melbourne’s city centre. The NGV features three event spaces - the Great Hall catering up to 600 guests seated or 1,100 for a cocktail function; the Garden Restaurant catering 160 seated guests or up to 180 guests for a cocktail function; and the Clemenger Auditorium with fixed seating for 250 guests.
The city is home to a range of sporting venues that can be used as event spaces, including the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). As Australia's largest sporting stadium, the MCG offers over 15 separate venue spaces to suit any occasion. The MCG caters for 550 people seated or up to 1,200 for a cocktail function.
At the heart of Melbourne’s city centre is the popular Crown Conference Centre, a purpose built hotel conference facility catering for large residential conferences and meetings. The centre offers two main plenary rooms, 16 breakout rooms, a dedicated exhibition space and four cafes, which capacity for groups ranging from 10 to 750 guests.
Groups can also experience the city by water with Melbourne River Cruises, offering a choice of six fully enclosed vessels to host your business event along the Yarra River. Each vessel features a viewing deck, large windows and an outside deck area with heating in the colder months. The vessels can cater for groups of 25 to 180 and can be completely customised.
