The first stop was lunch at Frogmore Creek Winery, a short drive from Hobart, followed by a transfer to Saffire, one of Australia's most exclusive lodges on Tasmania’s Freycinet Peninsula. Guests were wowed by the amazing location, set against the backdrop of Wineglass Bay and the pink Hazards mountain range with views from every room.
The next day, guests rose early for a boat cruise to Schouten Island to see wild Australian fur seals and native birdlife. After lunch back at Saffire, they took a scenic helicopter flight back to Hobart and checked into the historic Henry Jones Art Hotel on the Hobart waterfront.
On day three, the group caught the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) ferry, a uniquely decorated vessel featuring a private club room which one guest described as “divine, different and so unexpected”.
Returning to Hobart, they visited the Lark Distillery for a lesson on whisky making and appreciation, and to taste some of the local products voted amongst the world’s best. After free time to explore Salamanca Wharf, the group farewelled Tasmania with dinner at Smolt.
