Gather at Australia’s largest private museum or on Hobart’s waterfront
A short ferry trip from Hobart, the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) is an excellent choice for a business event with a contemporary edge. Mona is Australia’s largest private museum with three levels of underground galleries and is also home to two wineries and a brewery, several bars and restaurants - so there are endless possibilities for your business event. Mona can accommodate up to 450 guests for a cocktail function in the purpose-built function rooms or opt for a more unique experience in The Void, located 13 metres (42 feet) underground.
For a premium venue on Hobart’s Elizabeth Street Pier, consider the Hobart Function and Conference Centre, spanning 100 metres (328 feet) out over the sparkling water of the Derwent. The venue features six event spaces with floor to ceiling windows so guests enjoy breathtaking views of the harbour. The venue can host up to 350 people seated or 600 for a cocktail function.
Set in a vineyard homestead, the Frogmore Creek Winery is located just 20 minutes’ drive from the Hobart city centre. Here, groups can be inspired by the views of the vineyard and sample the brand's wine variety. The venue can accommodate groups big and small, with various spaces on the estate available for private functions catering up to 210 seated guests.
Alternatively, The Glass House is Hobart’s premium dining bar perched at the end of Brooke Street Pier with sweeping water views of Sullivan’s Cove and the Derwent River.
