The Oriana

A new venue has landed at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal. The Oriana has taken over all four levels of the former Quay site, transforming the storied address into an expansive, harbourfront destination. On ground level there’s an open-air beer garden, upstairs is a livelier pub with late-night DJs, on level two is a coastal-inspired restaurant, and on level three is a dedicated private event space with views of Circular Quay. The entire venue from sunlit ground floor to moody top-level dining is available for private hire and capacities range from 30 to 500 guests.

With state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, a 1,000-seat theatre and adaptable event spaces and meeting rooms, the venue is purpose-built for seamless hosting experiences. A standout for incentive programs is the Darrwal Room, with panoramic Corio Bay views, bountiful natural light, room for 190 guests seated, and a menu bursting with seasonal produce from Geelong and The Bellarine. Complementing the event offering is the onsite 200-room Crowne Plaza Geelong.

Few Brisbane venues carry the kind of nostalgia Hotel Terminus does. Long known as The Fox Hotel, the heritage-listed South Brisbane landmark reopened this year under the Ghanem Group Hospitality banner, with its original facade restored. On the ground floor is an all-day gastropub, and upstairs is Fox Rooftop and the late-night Vixen Room. Meanwhile level one has an array of booking options, including the Addison Room which seats 100, the Hayes Room that seats 50, and the more intimate Carrick Room for 14. The entire venue is also available for exclusive hire.
