Dreaming of... Kakadu National Park
Drive just 1.5 hours from Darwin to land deep in the ancient landscapes of the Top End. Kakadu National Park, located southeast of the city, spans floodplains, thundering waterfalls, ancient ridgelines and coastal estuaries. Due east of the city lies Mount Borradaile in west Arnhem Land. This sacred site on the lands of the Amurdak people holds ceremonial grounds, burial sites and rock paintings stretching 6m / 19ft. Kakadu Cultural Tours takes you through more than 65,000 years of continued Aboriginal culture across Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land, all while exploring the extraordinary landscapes and wildlife. Australia is a truly wonderful destination that is on everyone's bucket list, but it is not until you step foot on the ground, when you meet the people and experience the culture that you really see and understand what a truly unique place it is. I highly recommend visiting and am already planning my next trip back!
