What’s new in accommodation in Brisbane?
The newly opened 5-star The Star Grand complements Brisbane’s impressive array of world-class hotels, including the sustainable Crystalbrook Vincent at Howard Smith Wharves and Emporium Hotel South Bank, recently ranked by Trip Advisor as Australia’s #2 luxury hotel. Excitingly, the InterContinental Brisbane is due to open in June 2025, transforming the iconic former Hilton Brisbane building into a premium hotel and dining destination.

Looking ahead, is there anything you can tell us about the Olympics for 2032?
Brisbane is on a remarkable journey to 2032. Over the next seven years, planners will see our world-class city welcome new venues, embrace new experiences and build energy and momentum each time they visit. The Games will put Brisbane firmly on the global stage, attracting new hotel brands, leading hospitality outlets and Australia-first tourism and event experiences.
