Most major hotel and resort chains have introduced elevated hygiene measures to ensure guests have a COVIDSafe stay. These include contactless check-in, enhanced cleaning programs, disinfection of all high-touch areas and providing guests with sanitiser, wipes and masks. Some hotels may also offer guests access to medical professionals and tele-medical support during their stay. Many hotels are publishing new health and safety policies on their websites or you can contact individual operators for more information.
Some hotels have also introduced more flexibility into their booking terms and conditions to give planners peace of mind regarding postponements, cancellations and attrition.
Other businesses which make up Australia’s business events offering are implementing COVIDSafe plans as they reopen including modifying their offerings to prioritise visitor safety. For many, this will mean smaller groups, to allow for physical distancing.
