Blue Mountains

Following a A$50 million refurbishment, the iconic Emirates Wolgan Valley will reopen in mid-2026 as the world's first Ritz-Carlton Lodge. Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge, is nestled in a vast 7,000-acre conservation reserve within the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains. The 40-suite retreat offers refined, all-inclusive luxury in an immersive sanctuary surrounded by stunning escarpments. Guests are immersed in pristine wilderness through conservation-led experiences guided by experts, with opportunities to encounter kangaroos, bare-nosed wombats and brush-tailed rock wallabies in their natural habitat. Witness expansive night skies and rare native flora, including the ancient Wollemi Pine. Arrival is an experience in itself, via four-wheel drive or by helicopter, before a warm welcome at the main homestead. A signature restaurant highlights local produce and Australian wines, while elegantly appointed lodges, each with a private pool, provide a sophisticated sanctuary within this unique environment, accessed from Sydney.
