Bird in Hand

Hobart / nipaluna

Bird in Hand has opened a venue in the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart. The acclaimed family-owned and sustainably focussed winery has its origins in the Adelaide Hills, with operations in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley and Seymour since 2000. The Hobart venue offers group tastings from its globally recognised portfolio of cool-climate wines and other beverages in the dedicated tasting room. Expect world-class cuisine that showcases Tasmania’s sustainable local and native produce paired with exceptional wines in the 60-seat restaurant set against the breathtaking backdrop of the gardens and sweeping lawns. For larger events The Conservatory and lawn can each host up to 100 guests, while the expansive Elm lawns have capacity for more than 400 guests seated. Beyond fine wine and cuisine, Bird in Hand supports conservation projects in the gardens, notably the rehabilitation of the endemic Davies’ waxflower, one of Tasmania’s rarest and most endangered plants.
